Our Story

The Sweet Serenity candle was named after our daughter Serenity, who was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at birth. Though the doctors deemed the situation hopeless, God had other plans. After two surgeries and many prayers, Serenity was completely healed of the life-threatening condition, and now at 13-years-old she is a thriving, vibrant, and beautiful example of God’s goodness.

Meet the Owner

Jennifer Huffman, the owner of Sweet Serenity, was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and has lived in Seattle for the last decade. Married to Billy for over 23 years, they have two sons in their early 20s and their teenage daughter, Serenity. Jennifer has devoted her life to serving in the community and helping others achieve their dreams while simultaneously pursuing hers. As an entrepreneur, mentor, public speaker, creative thinker and innovator, she is always looking for ways to give others a little happiness and answers the question, “How can I help?”

What our
community says:

The Sweet Serenity Candles and Florals pop-up cart became a permanent fixture at The Village at Totem Lake in Kirkland in June. Like the sign says, “Give a Little Happiness,” Sweet Serenity does just that with inspirational gifts; exquisite custom-made floral arrangements; and all-natural, hand-poured, essential oil-scented soy candles.
